Performance Indicator LLC and Day & Zimmermann Announce Joint Venture in Long Persistent and Novel Phosphors in the U.S.

Venture establishes indigenous phosphor production in the United States that will compete in the global marketplace for both commercial and defense applications.

Lowell, Ma., and Philadelphia, Pa., April 15, 2011 – Performance Indicator LLC, a market leader in color change and indicator technology, and Day & Zimmermann, a premier provider of industrial, defense and workforce solutions, have formed a joint venture to develop and manufacture long persistent and novel phosphors.

The joint venture, which will operate as US Phosphor, LLC, combines Performance Indicator’s patented technology and intellectual property licensed from the University of Georgia for unique and robust long persistent phosphors with Day & Zimmermann’s significant expertise in industrial engineering and manufacturing. US Phosphor’s manufacturing operations will be conducted out of Day & Zimmermann facilities.
