Day & Zimmermann Joins SEIA to Advance Sustainable Solar Energy Solutions

Day & Zimmermann’s (D&Z) Maintenance and Construction division has joined the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the national trade association for the U.S. solar industry. D&Z’s membership in SEIA reflects our commitment to advancing sustainable solar energy solutions and promoting energy freedom.

SEIA embodies the innovation and entrepreneurship that defines solar energy. The association advocates for policies that promote the growth of solar power, including solar incentives, tax credits, and regulations that support the development of clean energy sources.

large-SEIA_Logo_4c_Transparent-2SEIA was integral in advocating for the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, which it called in a statement “the most transformational clean energy policy in history" and noted "passage of this historic legislation has had an immediate impact on the long-term outlook for the U.S. solar industry.”

Solar growth in the U.S. presents multiple benefits to growing domestic renewable energy manufacturing, including creating jobs, spurring economic development, promoting U.S. leadership in advanced technologies and innovation, and ensuring an ethical and sustainable solar supply chain.

Erik Galis, Vice President of Operations Renewables, highlighted that the growth of solar energy in the U.S. takes not only investments but also a commitment.

"Day & Zimmermann understands the importance of sustainable energy solutions and the role that the solar industry plays in promoting energy freedom and a cleaner environment. By joining SEIA, we are reinforcing our commitment to advancing solar energy solutions and supporting policies that promote the growth of the solar industry in the U.S.,” said Galis.

D&Z’s Maintenance and Construction division has nearly 1 GW of managed solar construction project experience, including multiple solar projects up to 150 MW. Our Renewables Team holds North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) certifications, and as exemplified by our SEIA membership, continues to invest in training and development for our growing roster of experienced solar installation professionals. We’ll be attending SEIA’s RE+ conference September 11-14 at the Venetian Convention and Expo Center in Las Vegas.
