Legacy With Labor in the Ohio-valley

As one of the top utilizers of Union Building Trades labor in the Ohio-Valley and across the United States, Day & Zimmermann and Minnotte Contracting's combined market position enables us to draw from the largest pool of trained and qualified personnel available. We rely on establishing a strong tripartite approach early in the process to develop proactive solutions to labor issues that could negatively affect the work.

Day & Zimmermann and Minnotte Contracting's combined labor relations strategy establishes and maintains labor productivity and availability by conducting regular meetings with the local labor council and local halls. We also work at the regional and national level with union managers and leaders to promote labor availability and skills growth. We hold various Board of Director seats and are heavily involved with the committees that administer the national agreements in Washington, D.C.

This comprehensive labor approach offers an industry-leading combination of access, scale and experience that delivers a distinct advantage over the competition in collaborating with labor groups to ensure our customers have the right resources with the right skills to support the overall objectives of the project.

Day & Zimmermann and Minnotte Contracting are signatory to the National Maintenance Agreement (NMA), General Presidents’ Project Maintenance Agreement (GPPMA), Joint National Industrial Agreement for I&C Technicians (I&C Agreement), and various Project Labor Agreements.
