When I realized the great extent of support D&Z provides in service to our country, I knew I had to join the team.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Of course, changing candidates’ lives will always resonate a sense of joy and purpose. However, if I am being honest,  my favorite aspect of being a recruiter is the challenge. The competition is thrilling and requires constant innovative strategies. Each day demands mental agility , creative thinking, and discipline.

What is the most challenging part of your job?

I am sure this can be said for anyone that enjoys rising to a challenge, but one of the toughest parts is leaving work at work. Especially when every candidate is a person, family, and future that I am a part of.  These are not just numbers that collect on a spreadsheet.  This kind of perspective makes it difficult to just forget about them over the weekend.

How would you describe your time in the military.

My time in the Army was the most value-defining time of my life. I got to work with a vastly diverse group of people, all focused on a common goal. The sense of unity and purpose was unparalleled.

How has your military service helped your professional career?

Military service facilitates characteristics like discipline, leadership, grit and selfless service. Regardless of difficulty, we accomplish the mission. As a part of the large, multi-structured that is the Military, I leaned to cross train, think outside the box and understand aspects of different parts if the operation. It's these skills that translate to the corporate world, and these skills that bring us to greater heights.
