Day & Zimmermann’s Jason Dunaway Elected to NEI Board of Directors

Day & Zimmermann is proud to announce that Jason Dunaway, President of our Maintenance and Construction group, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), the leading policy and industry organization representing the U.S. nuclear energy sector.

NEI is governed by a board of directors that includes representatives from 20 nuclear utilities and other segments of its membership, providing strategic direction for one of the most influential voices in nuclear energy. The organization advocates for policies that promote the safe, reliable, and efficient use of nuclear power and plays a central role in shaping the future of advanced nuclear technologies in the United States.

“Jason’s experience, strategic perspective, and commitment to advancing nuclear energy make him a strong addition to the Nuclear Energy Institute’s Board of Directors,” said Maria Korsnick, president and CEO of NEI. “We value his contributions as we continue expanding the industry’s role in providing reliable clean energy.”

Jason brings more than 30 years of experience in the power industry and construction management to the NEI board. As President of Day & Zimmermann’s Maintenance and Construction group, he leads the division’s engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and maintenance and modification services, supporting customers across the power, industrial, and renewables industries. Known for his forward-thinking leadership, Jason has successfully driven growth and innovation across diverse markets while maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety, reliability, and customer value.

Jason’s election to the NEI board comes at a pivotal moment for the nuclear industry, as momentum builds around advanced nuclear technologies and the expansion of a reliable energy infrastructure. His experience delivering complex power projects, combined with his focus on operational excellence and workforce development, will help guide NEI and its members as they navigate a period of unprecedented opportunity and transformation.

“I’m deeply honored to serve alongside such a distinguished group of industry leaders during this time of renewed momentum for nuclear energy,” said Dunaway. “With advanced nuclear technologies and rapidly increasing energy demands driven by data centers and AI, nuclear energy plays an integral role in our nation’s modern energy mix. I look forward to contributing to NEI’s important work to strengthen the nuclear industry and help shape its future.”
