Yoh Announces Britain's Most Accomplished Practitioners at the 2013 UK Agile Awards

LONDON—8 November 2013—Yoh, a leading provider of talent and outsourcing services, today announced the winners of its annual UK Agile Awards event, held on 7 November 2013 at the famed Grand Connaught Rooms in London. With more than 300 of the top Agile professionals and business leaders in attendance, this was the single largest Agile industry event of its kind in the UK, and all proceeds from this black-tie affair benefited UK charities.

Now in its fourth year, the UK Agile Awards were created to recognise and award top Agile talent in this growing project management discipline adopted by the UK government, as well as many of the top public and private businesses in the UK. The awards were open to practitioners and senior leaders in the UK who exemplify characteristics of conviction, passion, and courage in driving the adoption and broad deployment of the methodology. The event recognised the winners as catalysts for successful innovation, and served to publicly acknowledge their efforts.

“Agile has become an integral part of the way UK Plc does business and has made the transition from next practice to good practice. As an organisation, we are continuously exploring the new trends and business models that drive digital advantage. We are proud of our achievements in enabling IT professionals to gain the most benefit possible from Agile, and are equally proud to have been a headline sponsor of such a remarkable event and evening,” said Adam Thilthorpe, Director of Professionalism, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

“Agile is most successful when both leadership and daily practitioners are committed to collaboratively identifying and defining customer and market requirements, which has the benefit of naturally improving the customer relationship,” said Don Hason, Senior Vice President of Agile Practice and Global Strategic Solutions at Yoh. “We are glad to have the opportunity each year to contribute to this culture of collaboration and look forward to expanding the reach of the awards to both Western Europe and the United States in the coming years.”
