Matt Rivera Promoted to D&Z and Yoh Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Matt Rivera to Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications for Day & Zimmermann and Yoh, effective immediately. Matt will continue to report directly to Emmett McGrath, strategically leading both Yoh’s and D&Z’s marketing activities. He will continue to work as he has been, with Chair & CEO Hal Yoh, and expand his work with the D&Z Leadership Council and D&Z groups and business units in support of enterprise-wide branding, marketing, and communications priorities. He will also work closely with D&Z SVP and CHRO, Dan Ross, as a dotted-line report and extended member of the D&Z corporate Human Resources team to specifically focus on capturing and communicating the D&Z employee experience and employment brand, as well as coordinating marketing and communication resources across the enterprise.

Since taking the role of head of marketing and communications for D&Z in 2019, Matt has driven and supported many initiatives, including supporting critical communications during COVID, and helped to build marketing teams and support for all the D&Z groups. At the D&Z level, his team has supported various critical and collaborative marketing, branding, and communications projects, and launched Accelerate, our corporate Intranet. He continues to be involved in multiple D&Z committees and councils and has brought his creativity, communications skill, strategic perspective, and leadership skills (and even a little music) to benefit both Yoh and D&Z overall.

Matt has worked for Yoh for almost 32 years. He is a true success story for the career opportunities at D&Z, joining Yoh in 1991 as a payroll administrator also managing regional proposals, then moving to the Yoh Philadelphia office in 1993 as national proposal manager and the first person in the Yoh marketing department. He has held many different roles from payroll, proposal management, technology management, quality, managed staffing implementations and many others, always supporting marketing and communications. He created Yoh’s first website, helped order the first computers and laptops and oversaw the development of Yoh’s first, SAP-based online e-business platform, the Yoh Exchange, among many other firsts.

The current reporting structure under Matt for both Yoh and D&Z marketing will remain the same. He will work with the communications and marketing leads, both his direct reports and indirect reports, from all the D&Z groups, to continue to drive a more strategically aligned approach to D&Z’s marketing and branding efforts to ensure consistent and effective messaging across our various audiences.

Matt has a degree in Journalism/Public Relations and lives in the Philadelphia suburbs with his wife of 31 years, Andrea. He is a proud father of a daughter who graduates from college in May and a son who graduated from college in 2020. This year he will complete 10 years of service to his local community, serving on the Norristown Area School District School Board.

Please join us in congratulating Matt on this next and well-deserved step in his long career.
