Day & Zimmermann Recognized as Bloomberg Government’s Top 200 Federal Contractors

Day & Zimmermann (D&Z) is proud to be recognized again as one of the top 200 federal contractors according to Bloomberg Government in its annual BGOV200 Federal Industry Leaders list. The list, published by Bloomberg Government, a division of Bloomberg Industry Group, reveals the top federal contractors based on fiscal 2021 data for prime, unclassified contracts awarded across all government agencies in the United States.

The 11th annual BGOV200 Federal Industry Leaders Study combines rich data and insightful analysis to explore the contract dynamics of the past year at 97 agencies and departments, and in 20 different purchasing categories. Bloomberg Government’s analysis finds that federal spending reached $649.7 billion in 2021-- an overall decrease of $37.3 billion from fiscal year 2020’s $687 billion, due to continued spending to combat Covid-19 boosted fiscal 2021 obligations.

“We are honored to consistently rank among the top government and defense industry leaders once again,” said Steve Selfridge, President of D&Z’s Government Services Group. “As a mission-critical division of Day & Zimmermann, we patriotically serve the U.S. Government and commercial partners, having supported thousands of projects throughout the globe in more than 165 countries, ensuring the safety of people, infrastructure, operations, supply chains, assets, and data that is vital to the U.S. National Security Mission.”

“We are proud to be recognized in this year’s BGOV200 report, alongside so many other distinguished industry leaders,” said Mike Yoh, President of Day & Zimmermann’s Munitions & Government Group. “Our ranking serves as a true testament to Day & Zimmermann’s important work, continued dedication and exemplary services to our government and defense clients around the world.”

The BGOV200 report focuses on companies and broad trends in the market and explores contract dynamics of the past year and performance of successful contractors. Day & Zimmermann continues to be a noted leader in the report, consistently ranking for many years by providing focused architectural, engineering, security, and munitions production with additional support through its Mason & Hanger, SOC and American Ordnance divisions.
