I am pleased to announce that Dan Ross has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Day & Zimmermann, effective January 3rd, 2022. Fran Coady, our current HR leader, has announced her retirement at the end of this year. They will work together to ensure a smooth transition and in the interim, Dan will retain his current responsibilities and the corporate development team will continue to report to him.
During his 13 years with the company, Dan has progressed through a series of roles in multiple business units that provides him with a unique perspective on the company, our operations, strategy and in particular, human resources. I want to specifically thank him for his outstanding efforts on the COVID-19 response team during the past couple of years. Dan’s collaborative style and strong business acumen have served him well and he brings this experience from across the business to this role. I have great confidence in him and believe he will continue to move our HR policies, processes and cultural initiatives forward. He will oversee all of human resources for the D&Z enterprise including talent management, talent acquisition, compensation, diversity & inclusion, labor strategy and organizational development. Dan will join the D&Z Leadership Council and report directly to me. The current HR reporting structure and organization under Dan will not change and he will continue to be based out of the Philadelphia corporate office.
Dan first joined Day & Zimmermann as a college intern while attending St. Joseph’s University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He rejoined the Company in 2008, as the Director of Talent Acquisition, leading the Company’s recruiting organization. From there, Dan held increasingly responsible roles in Human Resources in Yoh, Corporate and MC (then called ECM), where he served for four years as Vice President, Human Resources, and was a member of the senior leadership team. Since 2019, he has been the Vice President, Corporate Development, facilitating the Company’s strategic planning process and leading our mergers and acquisition activities and the COVID-19 response team. Prior to joining D&Z, Dan worked at Toll Brothers and Aerotek in a number of Operations, Sales and Recruiting positions.
