Day Zimmermann ECM Names New Leadership for DZ Atlantic

PHILADELPHIA, PA — November 2, 2011 — Day & Zimmermann’s Engineering, Construction and Maintenance (ECM) group today announced key leadership changes within its DZ Atlantic business, including the appointment of Guy Starr as president of DZ Atlantic, and Ross McConnell as senior vice president of nuclear operations.

Guy Starr, previously president of DZ Engineering and DZ Construction, will have responsibility for all open shop construction and plant maintenance work in the nuclear, fossil, and process and industrial markets. He will also oversee the company’s suite of specialty services (condenser, valve, and radiological) as well as the fabrication and machining operation based in Moss Point, MS. With more than 30 years of management and operations experience in the engineering and field services area, Mr. Starr brings significant leadership expertise to his new role.

Ross McConnell previously served as DZ Atlantic’s vice president of staffing, valve, plant and radiological services. In his new role, Mr. McConnell will have overall responsibility for all of the unit’s work in the nuclear power market.
