D&Z Director of Environmental Health & Safety Robert Brooks Named to National Safety Council Board of Delegates

PHILADELPHIA, PA – August 27, 2015 – Day & Zimmermann (D&Z), the century-old, family-owned provider of construction and engineering, staffing and defense solutions for leading corporations and governments around the world, announced today its Senior Director of Environmental Health and Safety, Robert Brooks, has been named to the National Safety Council’s (NSC) Board of Delegates. The appointment is a testament to Brooks’ leadership and esteem within the safety industry.  As a member of the Board of Delegates, Brooks will be responsible for reviewing information on injuries to identify leading causes toward which the Council can direct programs and activities;  providing direction, counsel and guidance to the Board of Directors regarding solutions to identified areas of need; proposing policies and position statements to be adopted by the Board of Directors and promoted by the Council; and informing and assisting in the execution of the Council’s strategic plan.

Brooks is one of more than 50 delegates from across the country. The group meets twice yearly to provide counsel to the NSC on safety and health issues and strategies. The group’s next meeting will be held directly before the start of the 2015 NSC Congress and Expo on September 26th in Atlanta, Georgia.
