Day & Zimmermann ECM hires Walt Sanders as SVP, Operations, for Day & Zimmermann NPS Unit

PHILADELPHIA, PA—October 24, 2011— Day & Zimmermann, a nationally recognized provider of industrial, defense and workforce solutions for government and commercial customers, recently announced that Walt Sanders has joined their Day & Zimmermann NPS® unit as senior vice president, operations.  In this role, Mr. Sanders will use his twenty eight years of leadership experience in power industry project execution to drive excellence in strategic planning, resource allocation, performance management and talent management. He will also be engaged in optimizing the company's day-to-day operational activities to ensure world-class project delivery. His appointment to this position shows Day & Zimmermann’s continued commitment to bringing strong talent to the organization while expanding overall project capabilities.

    Mr. Sanders was most recently a vice president with The Shaw Group’s Nuclear Division, supporting South Texas, Vogtle and VC Summer new build projects.  He also held senior management positions in Shaw’s Project Operations and Construction Operations departments.  In addition, Mr. Sanders has held leadership positions in field engineering, supply management, project management, project services and capital projects business line management for such companies as Clark Construction Group, Barlow Projects, Inc. and Kvaerner Power, Inc.
