American Ordnance is a premier manufacturer of ammunition to the United States military and a wholly owned subsidiary of Day & Zimmermann. 
American Ordnance currently operates and maintains production facilities at Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Burlington, Iowa, and Milan Army Ammunition Plant in Milan, Tennessee.

American Ordnance's capabilities encompass a wide array of development, load, assemble and pack (LAP) requirements for medium to large caliber ammunition and other explosives. Other core competencies include renovation, maintenance and demilitarization of ammunition and other energetic devices.
