Our personnel are specialists who have a thorough understanding of the unique types of facilities military operations require, as well as the government regulations, guidelines and requirements that impact them. Examples of specialized nationwide programs executed by Mason & Hanger include our Army Reserve & Air Force Reserve Programs and Range and Training Complex Programs.

The current trend in federal facilities management is Asset Management. This is a twofold process - first, agencies are fully documenting their Real Property Inventory Lists, and accurately recording their condition; then working with this data, dollars are wisely allocated to maintain and/or improve the useful life and more accurate decisions can be made to repurpose existing facilities. As our clients focus on how best to sustain, restore and/or modernize (SRM) current facilities and infrastructure, Mason & Hanger brings this same focus to our projects. Our design professionals have extensive experience working with our clients to maximize their budgets in order to gain the most from smaller budgets. Our experience with repair, renovation and re-purposing projects involves full scale renovation work including:

  • Space planning
  • Building renovation design (interior & exterior)
  • Phased construction plans, allowing tenants to remain in place
  • Life safety code and ADA analysis/review
  • Mechanical & electrical upgrades to promote energy efficiency and comfort
  • Site upgrades (POV & MEP parking, roadways, drainage, site signage, entry gates, perimeter fencing, utilities etc.)
  • Structural upgrades
  • AT/FP upgrades
  • Comprehensive & structural Interior Design (CID & SID)
  • Cost estimating
