HRO Today’s Baker’s Dozen recognizes Yoh’s strategic position as end-to-end provider of workforce solutions that drive profitability, efficiencies and capabilities of enterprises large and small
PHILADELPHIA—June 3, 2011—Yoh, a provider of talent and outsourcing services, today announced that the company has been named #5 on the 2011 Managed Services Programs (MSP) Baker’s Dozen List, compiled by HRO Today.
“We’re honored to be named a trusted provider of strategic workforce solutions, and thrilled that our industry has recognized Yoh for our strategic approach, richness of our service offering, and ability to impact the goals and objectives of our clients through the smart management of their workforce supply chain,” says Lori Schultz, President at Yoh.
Unlike other industry lists that rank companies by size, HRO Today’s annual list measures feedback directly from customers and ranks MSP providers according to breadth of service, size of deals and quality service – with the latter serving as the most heavily weighted factor in the rankings.
“Since pioneering the MSP offering in the early 1990s, our commitment to assist our customers at every point in their workforce management process sits at the center of Yoh’s growth strategy,” begins Schultz. “Being listed as a top five leader in delivering MSP solutions not only positions our organization for future growth, but more importantly, underscores the success Yoh customers have had in aggressively building and maintaining a workforce capable of driving both the strategic and tactical advancement of key business objectives.”
The 2011 Baker’s Dozen list was compiled from feedback from more than 197 direct customers of the leading companies in the MSP space. Out of the 13 companies named to the list, Yoh was ranked 5th overall and 5th in terms of quality of service, beating out several larger competitors.
Key to Yoh’s high quality rating is its workforce scenario planning, a process in which Yoh works closely with clients to predict any number of future staffing contingencies and put in place alternatives in advance of any eventuality.
Workforce contingency planning was a topic at the HRO Today Summit, where the ranking was announced. Dr. Peter Cappelli, professor at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a keynote speaker at the Summit, explained that a changing market requires companies to demand more from MSP providers in order to lead them to more efficient and effective workforce management.
As he explained, “From within the organization, there may not be the capability to develop and plan for various scenarios. I expect that we’ll see more thought leadership from the vendor community, and leveraging an MSP’s insight in this area is an effective way for organizations to plan accordingly for whatever might be on the horizon.”
Supporting such planning is part of Yoh’s spectrum of workforce management solutions, which was another key criterion of the ranking.
“Today, Yoh is much more than a transactional staffing firm,” says Schultz. “We are a full partner in our client’s workforce management process, offering an ability to adapt to changing conditions through a breath of our services that include: strategic expansion of the workforce; expediting payroll of augmented staff; integrated project teams; and complete recruitment process outsourcing from candidate marketing to on-boarding. It’s for these reasons that we are so proud of our ranking and the validation of our strategic approach in the marketplace.”
