Reducing our Environmental Footprint
Day & Zimmermann has a number of environmental programs and practices in place, and we’re always looking for new ways to make a difference in the world as a responsible corporate citizen. Following
are just a few of the ways we are striving to achieve our Green Initiative goals.
- Recycling computer equipment through the Dell Asset Recovery & Recycling program, and printer supplies through theXerox Green World Alliance program
- Reusing and redeploying furniture and surplus industrial goods and equipment across the enterprise
- Leveraging online systems for communications, reporting and various accounting transactions to reduce paper consumption
- Upgrading printers and fax machines to smaller, multi-functional, eco-friendly machines and programming defaults for two-sided printing
- Encouraging teleconferencing and webinars as an alternative to business travel
- Using recycled content paper certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative
- Replacing disposable pantry items (foam cups, plastic utensils) with biodegradable supplies
